Born on 30th November 1962, Vincent Edward “Bo” Jackson grew up in Bessemer, Alabama. Among his many siblings, Jackson is the 8th child in the family of 10 children.
For high school, Bo attended the Mc Adory High School. There, he broke the records being a running back of the football team. Surprising enough, he also excelled as a member of the school’s baseball team – he used to hit twenty home runs in twenty-five.
He did not stop there. He broke the state track records and bagged the state title of Alabama decathlon twice.
Despite being selected by the New York Yankees back in 1982, Jackson thought of a better alternative. He selected to attend Auburn University, that too with a football scholarship. How athletic!
