Bruce Lorne Campbell was born on 22 June 1958 and grew up in Michigan. He is half American and half Scottish. He is the youngest of the three brothers. He grew up in a Christian household. Campbell graduated from Western Michigan University and after completing his studies he joined a full-time assistant professor.

He had taught in 9 colleges and besides that worked in advertising too. Campbell has publicly announced that he is a committed Christian and a clergyman.

Bruce Campbell has been interested in producing films ever since he was young. His first collaborated film was with Sam Raimi, this was a 30-minute version of the first “Evil Dead” series that was dubbed inside the woods and was used to bring on investors.
