Early Life
Chad was born on January 9, 1978, in Miami. After he graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School back in 1997, he went to Langston University. He did not continue football there.
Later on, he transferred to Santa Monica College, California, and played football with Steve Smith, a fellow future wide receiver. Then in 2000, he was recruited by OSU football trainer Dennis Erickson and transferred to Oregon State University.
Along with T. J. Houshmandzadeh, Chad marched with his team to get an 11–1 that season and an impressive win against Notre Dame in that year’s Fiesta Bowl.
He made a record for having the longest touchdown with a 97-yard-long reception.
Career
Chad started his career in professional football in the NFL in 2001. He was chosen by Cincinnati Bengals during the second draft round on the 36th pick overall.
He got to show his performance from very early seasons, making a record in the Bengal Franchise in 2005.
Here he recorded 1432 yards. But his success on the ground was often put to hold by what people would say his ‘diva-like’ behavior.
