Fat Joe, with an original name as Joseph Antonio Cartagena, was born on August 19, 1970, in South Bronx, New York to Joey Cartagena and Ernesto Delgado with Peurto Rican and Cuban descent respectively. He lived in public housing due to his family’s financial situation.
