Early Life

Hayley Williams’ full name is Hayley Nichole Williams. She was born on December 27, 1988, in Meridian, Mississippi. Her parents are Joey Williams and Cristi Williams. She was the oldest child and had two younger half-sisters.

In 2000, when Hayley was only 12, her parents got divorced, and she moved to Franklin, Tennessee with her mother.

Much information is not found about Hayley’s educational life, but she is known to have attended schools in Franklin. While attending school, she started taking music lessons and grew a passion for it.

After her vocal lessons, which she took along with Brett Manning, she auditioned for several bands and met Jeremy Davis who became a Paramore bassist in the future.

She even met her friends and future bandmates, Zac Farro and Josh during her school days. However, Hayley is yet to complete her graduation.

In 2003, when Hayley was 14 years old, Richard Williams and Dave Steunebrink signed her for a 2-year production contract by seeing her potential.

Her career started with writing songs for several pop singers, but soon she caught the eyes of Atlantic Records and they wanted to make her a solo pop star.

However, Hayley wanted to play in a pop band, so she formed her band Paramore with Josh Farro, Zac Farro, and Jeremy Davis after that. Bands like fireworks, Lemuria, and Radiohead were a great inspiration for them.

Also, the name “Paramore” is simply a different spelling of “Paramour”, and that means ‘secret lover’.

The band released its first debut album “All We Know is Falling” in 2005, under a subordinate of Atlantic known as Fueled by Ramen.

Then after 2 years, their second album titled “Riot” came out. In that year, they found their rhythm guitarist Taylor York, who used to be their touring member.

Moreover, in 2009, they released their album named “Brand New Eyes”. They released their albums called “Paramore” along with “After Laughter” in the years 2013 and 2017 respectively.

Unfortunately, Josh Farro and Zac Farro quit the band in 2010 by claiming it to be a “manufactured product of a big label”.

Meanwhile, she wanted to create her separate identity outside the band, and she did so with the song “Strangers”.

She was both the lyricist and the singer of this track as well as it featured in the film “Jennifer’s Body”. With the music of “Airplanes Part I and II”, she gained success as well. In addition, she appeared in the song “Stay the Night” by Zedd.

Hayley decided to release her solo album after all these successes. Consequently, in 2020, her first solo album that goes by the title “Petals for Armor” came out and was a huge hit. This was her first album without her band.

Apart from her music, she has endorsed numerous brands throughout her career that contributed to her net worth. She collaborated with MAC Cosmetics and promoted their new makeup collection in 2013.

In the same year, she raised funds and grew awareness for breast cancer by partnering with Hard Rock Café.
