Marcus Jamal Hopson, with a stage name of Hopsin, was born on July 18, 1985, in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California. He graduated from James Monore High School and was enrolled in special education classes.

He spent his delighting childhood with performing skateboarding stunts and was quite fascinated and popular for them too. His several videos pay tribute to his skateboarding skills now and then.

He was only 16 years old when he adopted his passion for rapping and himself produced his debut album called ‘Emurge’.

A feud began with Soulja Boy with the release of Hopsin’s “Sag, my Pants”. He dissed him, in turn, Soulja makes controversial comments against Hopsin. Later, Soulja also released a mixtape called “That Nigga Not Me’ dissing Hopsin throughout the course of the lyrics.

On August 25, 2012, Hopsin was planned to appear at Club 57 West, a popular club in Orlando, for a performance.
