In 1968, when the Gang was about to play at the Grande Ballroom opening for Cream, Ronnie Silverman informed them that he cannot perform.
To save their faces and the money, the remaining trio performed for the concert; The James Gang then became a trio group, since they liked the sound of all of them together.

“The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get” became Brainstorm’s first commercially successful album. It peaked at no. 6 on the US Billboard Chart.
Walsh joined the Eagles in 1975 as a replacement of the founding member Bernie Leadon. Though the rest of the band members believed in his talent, they weren’t sure about Walsh’s “wild” approach to music.
Walsh did music with them during all these problems. But it was the hard rock Life in the Fast Lane, which was based on a riff by Walsh that made him acceptable to the band. The song reached no. 11 on the charts.
The Long Run, released in 1979, was considered a failure by the critics but became a huge commercial success.

Joe Walsh vs Joe Walsh
It was a regular day for Joe Walsh until he heard his famous song Walk Away with different lyrics being sung on the roads of Illinois. The reason? Joe Walsh. No, not the Joe Walsh of The Eagles, but the Republican Congressional Candidate, Joe Walsh.
The Republican candidate used the musician’s music for his campaign, after changing the lyrics. Joe Walsh of the Eagles has taken it seriously and used this occasion to teach the candidate some of the aspects of the US Intellectual Property Law.
In a letter to the politician, the musician’s lawyer included facts about the US Copyrights Act. The acts clearly state that one cannot use someone else’s song without their permission, even for a campaign.
Nobody is allowed to change a song’s lyrics without the consent of the owner of the song under the same act.
The letter becomes a little bit interesting when the musician’s lawyer mocked the candidate by citing that the people would misunderstand if the two persons are the same since both of them share a name.
The politician’s lawyer addressed the letter by stating that since they changed the lyrics, the musician cannot make allegations, since they are not doing an offense.
