Lou Ferrigno was born in Brooklyn, New York. His mother’s name is Victoria Ferrigno and his father’s name is Matt Ferrigno. His father worked as a commanding officer in the New York State Department and his mother was a housewife. Lou’s younger brother, Andy Ferrigno, is also interested in fitness.

Unfortunately, Lou lost 70-80% of his hearing due to serious ear infections. He has been using hearing aids since he was five. However, the musclehead started weight training when he was only 13 years old. As there were financial struggles in his family, he made weights for himself so that he did not have to buy them.
