Mike Shinoda came to this world on the 11th day of February in the year 1977. His birthplace is Los Angeles, California, in the United States of America. His father is Japanese- American while his mother is European. He grew up in the suburbs of Agoura Hills in Los Angeles. 

The artist was sent to the classical music school to learn piano at the age of 6. As he started to grow up, he developed an interest in playing jazz, blues as well as hip-hop. He attended Agoura High School, after which he made his way to the Art Centre College of Design to learn graphic design and illustration.

Upon graduating, Mike Shinoda started his band called ‘Xero’, whilst working as a graphic designer. This band was later renamed ‘Linkin Park’. The first album of the band, ‘Hybrid Theory, was released in 2000, where Shinoda was mostly involved in the technicalities.

Over 10 million copies of the band were sold, just within the U.S.A. alone. The first remix album, ‘Reanimation’ came out in 2002. Shinoda was responsible for the direction, structure, and administration of the album.
