Terrys’ full name is Terry Paxton Bradshaw. He was born on September 2, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana. His father, William Marvin Bradshaw was a veteran of the United States Navy and the former vice president of the manufacturing of the Riley Beaird Company.

His mother Novis Bradshaw was the daughter of Clifford and Lula Gay of Red River Parish, Louisiana. Terry has two brothers Gary and Craig.

Terry wanted to become a professional football player when he was very young. He attended Woodlawn High School and played for their football team leading them into AAA State Championship Game in 1965.
