Early Life
Young Jeezy was known as Jay Wayne Jenkins as it is his birth name given by his parents. His parents were not married at the time of his birth and they separated later on. So he did not get to spend his childhood with his father and mother at the same time.
He had to spend time with various other family members while growing up and it was not a pleasant experience for him according to a statement given by him. Among all the people, Jay’s mother played a vital role in raising him.

In 2001, Jay dropped an album out of nowhere named “Thuggin Under the Influence” which was his first album. He used the stage name “Lil J” for this album.
